Two of the four faces you see are coming here soon. Two others are “too young for hosting”. They’re not too young to lose their family, and not too young to have spent the last year of their life in an orphanage where trauma grows, but they are considered too young to travel.Anna(9) and Anton(8) will be the fortunate ones to be hosted by the Schmierer family for 6 weeks this summer. They will be visiting New Mexico from June 19th through July 31st. The Schmierers' are exited to share their hearts, home, and love for Jesus with them this summer.
Anna and Anton live in an orphanage in Ukraine with their 2 younger brothers. This summer they will have the opportunity to be loved by a family. They will see a bit of the world outside their small town. They will experience a new culture. They will learn some English. They will have the opportunity to be recieve medical attention. They will learn about Jesus and His love for them. They will see what it is to be loved unconditionally. All these things and more will broaden their horizons and expand their hopes for their future.
In addition to these things, hosting remains one of the best opportunities to raise awareness of the need for adoption. Anna and Anton as well as their siblings have clearance for international adoption and will have a marked increase in the possibilitiy of being adopted because of this trip this summer.
